A conference for promoting e-mail authentication technologies will be held July 12 in New York City. The E-mail Authentication Implementation Summit 2005 includes among its underwriters the Direct Marketing Association, Microsoft Corp. and the E-mail Service Provider Coalition.
Issues that will be addressed during the conference include Internet security, spam, phishing and other e-mail deception problems faced by businesses and consumers alike.
“E-mail authentication is an important building block in creating a more trusted e-mail infrastructure,” said in prepared statement Ken Schneider, chief architect for network and gateway security solutions at Symantec Corp. “End users want spam blocked and legitimate messages delivered quickly.”
The agenda and registration information are available at emailauthentication.org.
