The promotion, which began last month, is featured at www.dreyers.com. Called, A Scoop of the U.S.A., participants can enter by submitting an original ice cream flavor name and taste, a description of the flavor and a paragraph explaining why the ice cream is representative of the state.

Fifty one semi-finalists, announced this fall, win a year’s supply of Dreyer’s ice cream. The top 15 also win a U.S. Savings Bond and a trip to the Dreyer’s ice cream factory.
