Coldwater Creek Inc. posted net income of $12 million for the second quarter, a 93.7% improvement over net income of $6.2 million during the same period last year.
The Sandpoint, ID company reported net sales of $216.4 million for the quarter ended July 30, up 41.2% over $153.3 million last year.
The firm’s direct segment posted net sales of $72.6 million for the quarter, up 23.4% over $58.8 million during the same period last year.
CEO Dennis Pense said in a statement that the firm had achieved “a solid, double-digit increase in same-store sales for the second quarter. Although the majority of our growth continues to come from retail stores, Internet and catalogs also delivered higher second-quarter sales compared to a year ago.”
