Civic Entertainment Group has hired Seth Webb as director of special projects, a new position.
In his new role, Webb, heads up new-business initiatives and government-related projects. The position took effect Sept. 4.
Most recently, Webb worked for Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich in Illinois as a top advisor leading a variety of marketing, sponsorship and promotions initiatives. While there, he developed a corporate sponsorship program that included work with such brands as Walgreens, Best Western Hotels, ComEd and 21st Century Insurance.
He was also instrumental in developing an exclusive, statewide beverage vending agreement with PepsiAmericas that generated $64 million over the 10-year contract, Civic said.
Webb has also worked for the New York Parks Department directing marketing and special events.
