More Care Bears goodies launch later this year |
First up are ice cream sandwiches, embossed with different Care Bears characters. The line will launch in February as part of CoolBrands’ Eskimo Pie brand and will retail for $3.50 to $3.80 per box.
“The appeal of Care Bears shows no limit and the characters are beloved by kids and parents,” said CoolBrands VP-Marketing Matthew Smith in a statement.
More products are expected in the long-term deal with Ronkonkoma, NY-based CoolBrands.
Cleveland-based American Greetings licensed Care Bears to General Mills for fruit snacks earlier this year.
Care Bears were introduced in 1982, then re-launched in 2002. Joester Loria Group, New York, handles licensing for American Greetings.
