Cadillac to Sponsor Atlanta Mall

Cadillac has signed as sponsor of upscale Atlanta mall Phipps Plaza.

The General Motors division will test its status as “the official vehicle of Phipps Plaza” to decide whether to sponsor more malls owned by Simon Property Group.

Cadillac will host invitation-only events at the mall with retailer tie-ins, and sponsor holiday activities. Phipps’ valet parking service adopts the name “Cadillac Valet” with staffers in Caddie clothing; service is free for shoppers driving Cadillacs (and available to other shoppers for a fee).

“Partnering with Phipps Plaza…provides a unique and creative venue to reach out to existing Cadillac owners and introduce our vehicles to new consumers,” said Cadillac Regional Marketing Manager John Orth in a statement. “This alliance allows us to take traditional assets and partner with an untapped venue.”
