Teen retailer American Eagle Outfitters Inc. has named Susan McGalla president and chief merchandising officer for the company.
In her newly expanded role, McGalla, 42, will oversee Martin + Osa, the retailer’s new sportswear line targeting 25- to 40-year olds. Previously, McGalla was president and chief merchandising officer of the American Eagle brand.
McGalla’s promotion was one of several America Eagle Outfitters announced last week.
The company also named Laura Dubin Wander president of the Martin + Osa brand. Previously, she worked as president of the Dana Buchman and Laundry by Shelli Segal divisions for Liz Claiborne Inc.
In addition, Kathy Savitt, American Eagle’s newly named chief marketing officer and executive vice president, will oversee multi-channel marketing and the online business for the company’s brands. She replaced Michael Leedy who resigned in February.
Other company promotions include:
- Henry Stafford to senior vice president and chief merchandising officer for the AE brand. He will oversee the men’s, women’s and accessories divisions.
- Betsy Schumacher to senior vice president and chief merchandising officer for aerie. She will oversee the aerie brand and the brand’s 2007 expansion plans.
