ALC of New York Forms Consulting Division

ALC of New York LLC has formed a consulting division to offer clients a broader range of services for direct marketing.

“We’re looking to evolve beyond offering list brokerage services to also serve as consultative partners,” said Andy Ostroy, chairman and CEO of ALC of New York. The firm’s new growth strategies group is intended to complement established brokerage services, which are generally more tactical in nature than strategic big-picture, according to Ostroy.

More expanded analytical services will be offered in-house, services previously offered on a more limited basis in conjunction with marketing partners, he said. Donna Belardi, president of ALC of New York, will head the new division.

ALC of New York has named Polly Bickel to serve as associate vice president of strategic consulting. Bickel was formerly manager of customer acquisition at Williams-Sonoma Inc. Bickel’s new responsibilities will include working with clients on multi-channel marketing strategies for prospecting, circulation, online marketing, reactivation, promotions and financial analysis.
