Choice Hotels Tap Brown to Lead Loyalty Program

Choice Hotels International has named Greg Brown as vice president of the company’s Choice Privileges rewards program, a new post.

Brown is in charge of growing the company’s rewards offering. In addition, he will evaluate future redemption options and continue the program’s rollout internationally.

The position took effect Nov. 29.

Prior to joining Choice Hotels, Brown worked as vice president of customer and partnership marketing at La Quinta Corp., where he oversaw the company’s frequent-stay program, returns and a loyalty credit card program. Before that, Brown worked at American Airlines in a variety of posts in the marketing, sales and finance departments.

Choice Privileges lets members earn points or airline rewards for stays at more than 3,000 Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion and MainStay Suites hotels in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico. The program, which launched in 1998, as more than 5 million members worldwide.
