The Wunderman family of advertising agencies has acquired Shaw Marketing Group, a relationship marketing agency recognized for its expertise in spirits, consumer packaged Goods and other nontransactional product categories. Terms of the transaction were not announced.
Once assimilated, Shaw Marketing Group will be known as Shaw Wunderman, an operating division of Wunderman New York. Richard Shaw, who founded the firm in 2002 and serves as president, will remain at the division’s helm. The company employs 15 people, and generated $2 million in revenue during 20005. The company has gross assets of $1.8 million.
The New York–based agency’s current clients include Diageo (Crown Royal, Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Guinness and Baileys) and the New York Philharmonic.
