Lillian Vernon Corp., Rye, NY, has signed a letter of intent to acquire Rue de France Inc., a 15-year-old home furnishings retailer. The firm also sells products through catalogs and a Web site. Pamela Kelley, founder of Rue de France, will be joining Lillian Vernon as president of the newly formed Vernon subsidiary. The purchase price was not disclosed.
