The Communications Workers Union, the labor group for U.K. postal workers, said Tuesday that it has called off strikes against Royal Mail as it mulls over a draft agreement reached last Friday.
The CWU had planned job actions for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week.
According to news reports, the agreement was drawn up at marathon talks between the CWU and Royal Mail chief executive Adam Crozier. The pact is thought to include a 6.9% pay increase over two years as well as a lump sum payment of 175 pounds ($356) and trial flexible working arrangements in some locations.
