Trend-Lines Inc., a Revere, MA-based woodworking tools cataloger/retailer, reported net income of $170,000 for the quarter ended May 19, a turnaround from a net loss of $4.6 million for the quarter ended May 30, 1998.
Net sales for the quarter were $70.1 million, a 19.1% increase over $59.6 million for the same period in 1998.
Catalog sales reportedly were even with last year’s first quarter.
Comparable store sales increased 16.5%.
