TransFirst, a credit card transaction payment processing firm, has acquired the third party and agent bank merchant division of Fifth Third Bank Processing Solutions for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition reportedly will increase Dallas-based TransFirst’s annual processing volume from approximately $11 billion to $18.5 billion. TransFirst specializes in online and small businesses.
