TracyLocke Taps Engels to Lead New Business

TracyLocke has hired ad agency veteran Todd Engels to head up new business for the Dallas-based promotion agency.

Engels, who joined TracyLocke’s Wilton, CT, office last week, had been senior VP-account director at Lowe Advertising, where he also led new-business development. Engels has worked in account management at ad shops Lintas, DDB Needham and J. Walter Thompson.

Most recently he was VP-marketing for VOOM at satellite TV company Cablevision.

The new-business post is a new position at TracyLocke. Engels also will work on a number of current accounts.

“While TracyLocke is known for its expertise in the promotional marketing arena, our business has expanded to include all marketing efforts related to the customer experience and brand activation,” said TracyLocke COO Tim Zuckert in a statement. “Todd brings a tremendous background in advertising and integrated marketing and his client-side experience is invaluable in servicing the changing needs of the marketplace.”

TracyLocke ranked No. 3 in the 2004 PROMO 100 ranking with estimated 2003 revenues of $87 million.
