Starz Entertainment is rolling out a new sweepstakes tied to the TV premiere of the Walt Disney Pictures smash The Incredibles, offering a grand-prize trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
Consumers who watch The Incredibles on Starz, Starz On Demand or Starz Ticket will see a secret on-screen word following the movie. Viewers can enter the word online at Starz.com for a chance to win a grand prize VIP trip for four to the Walt Disney World Resort.
The top prize includes seven-day Magic Your Way passes, priority entrance to selected happiest Celebration on Earth Walt Disney World attractions, five hours with a VIP tour guide, $500 Disney dollars, a meet and greet with Disney characters and $1,000 spending money. Fifty first-prize winners get The Incredibles merchandise gift packs. The package is worth about $13,000.
Starz launched the sweepstakes as an incentive to boost viewership and teach consumers how to use its On Demand service, explained Patti Van Der Gang, manager of promotions and affiliate marketing for Starz.
“We want to educate people on how to navigate On Demand and all the value adds-ons,” Van Der Gang said. “The Incredibles is one of those movies people want to see again and again. It’s a nice, family friendly movie. It’s a great title to do something with.”
The Incredibles follows the comedic adventures of a family of undercover superheroes and their efforts to rescue the world from destruction. The film is available on Starz On Demand and Starz Ticket, a subscription-based service that allows users to download movies to their computers for $12.95 per month. The Incredibles premieres on Starz at 9 p.m. ET Sept. 24.
The sweepstakes is open to consumers 18 and older and runs through Oct. 31. Internet materials and TV spots support. GameSafe, Trenton, IL, manages.
