SoBe Launching First-Ever Sweepstakes

SoBe Beverages is set to launch its first-ever sweepstakes, an under-the-cap promotion.

The Lizard Liberation will include Web site and radio campaigns, its annual Love Bus sampling tour, point-of-sale displays, cooler stickers and shelf talkers, SoBe director of integrated marketing Mike Joyce said.

The contest will begin around May 15 and will run through the summer, Joyce said. Eight grand-prize SoBe Jeep Wrangler Unlimited vehicles will be awarded, as well as Atari video games, Rio MP3 players, Thule car racks, Flybar pogo sticks, Spy sunglasses, No Fear gear, free music downloads from Buymusic.com and “buy-one SoBe, get one free” offers.

Norwalk, CT-based SoBe’s parent company, Pepsi-Cola North America, has helped to make it a brand available nationwide, which is why SoBe chose this summer to launch its first sweepstakes, he said.

Shelton, CT-based MediaWorks and Burlington, VT-based Jager Di Paola Kemp Design are helping to launch the promotion.
