Snapple NYC Visitor Center Opens

Snapple added a new element to its marketing deal with New York City with the opening last week of the Snapple Big Apple Visitor Center in Times Square.

Wendy “the Snapple Lady” was on hand offering locals and tourists in Times Square a free Snapple and information about the new center. Inside the center, visitors learned about the “best things” and the “best places,” including people, places and things, around the five boroughs, playing on Snapple’s tag line: The best stuff.

A special promotion through January lets visitors win prizes by answering Snapple Real Facts trivia questions. Prizes include tickets to the Off-Broadway show Perfect Crime at the Snapple Theater Center, free passes to a two-hour guided walking tour of the theater district and the interior of two Broadway theaters, hats, key chains and other products. Anyone with Snapple bottle caps can redeem them for discounted tickets on Gray Line New York Sightseeing.

The visitor’s center is located in the Times Square Information Center on 7th Avenue.

Snapple’s $166 million, five-year deal with New York City calls for Snapple to sell its beverages in city-owned buildings. It also sponsors 30 free concerts and events at Central Park SummerStage, dozens of concerts in the outer boroughs, Beach Bashers on July 4 throughout the city, Coney Island Volleyball Week and other events.
