Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) is expected to introduce the Stop Pornography and Abusive Marketing (SPAM) Act Thursday.
The bill would impose tough criminal and civil penalties on senders of unsolicited commercial e-mail with pornographic pictures to children. It would also create a no-spam registry fashioned after the various do-not-call registries for telemarketers, according to Schumer’s office.
