Cincinnati-based Federated Department Stores Inc. tapped Franz Weiglein as president of its new umbrella organization, Bloomingdale’s Direct. The group will manage Federated’s integrated online/catalog operations Bloomingdales.com and Bloomingdale’s by Mail. Weiglein had been vice president and general merchandise manager of the men’s division at Lands’ End Inc.

Mike Oldham was appointed chief operating officer of MatchLogic, a Westminster, CO online marketing firm. Oldham will manage MatchLogic’s day-to-day strategic operations, including sales, account management, product management and engineering functions. Oldham had served as COO of Columbine JDS Systems, a technology supplier for broadcast and advertising companies.

Peterborough, NH’s Millard Group Inc. opened a new West Coast division and selected Donna Hamilton, director of list management, to head it. The office is located in San Diego.
