NutriSystem Hires CMO/Exec VP E-Commerce

NutriSystem, Inc. has hired Monica Woo as executive vice president e-commerce and chief marketing officer, effective Nov. 5.

In this position, she will lead all aspects of the company’s ecommerce and marketing initiatives.

Most recently, she worked for 1-800-Flowers.com as president of the consumer floral division. There she led the creation and launches of multiple partnerships, including the Martha Stewart for 1-800-Flowers.com licensing partnership.

She has also worked as president of Bacardi Global brands and at Diageo PLC, as well as experience with a number of renowned brands such as Johnnie Walker Whisky and Haagen-Dazs ice cream. She also launched two e-commerce investment and banking businesses: Citibank Online and Deutsche Bank’s online retail investment and banking services in Brazil, NutriSystem said.

“She is a seasoned marketing and operating executive with a proven track record of building businesses,” said Joe Redling, NutriSystem president and chief executive officer, in a release. “

Woo replaces Tom Connerty who had been chief marketing officer but left the company in May for family reasons. He remains on board in an advisory position.
