NFL Players Send Voice Messages To Show Off Sprint Handsets

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Sprint is tapping into the Super Bowl to show off some of its wireless features.

On Feb. 3, Sprint will conduct an on-stage event during the NFL Experience where 24 NFL players will meet and greet fans and send the messages over hand sets provided by Sprint over a six-hour period.

The goal is to expose consumers to the Sprint brand, while they have fun with NFL players, said Dawn Ridley, senior vice president for Players, Inc., the licensing and marketing subsidiary of the NFL Players Association, which arranged the event.

“Our goal is to make them all Sprint subscribers,” she said.

Sprint is the sole sponsor of the event, which is being marketed through NFL Experience program listings and on Fox Sports radio.

The NFL Experience is an event where sponsors can get close to family and friends to experience what it’s like to be an NFL football player.
