DIAGEO; will, for the first time, include value added packaging in the U.S. comprised of 100% recyclable materials this holiday. Printed outer cartons will have a custom graphic that lets consumers know the packaging components are completely recyclable. Some of the brands that will feature the new packaging are Crown Royal Reserve Brands, Ciroc Vodka, Jose Cuervo, VO and Captain Morgan.
DICK’S SPORTING GOODS: has named Joseph M. Schmidt president. The post takes effect in February. Schmidt, who worked as vice president of operations and chief operating officer since February, will replace Edward W. Stack who will remain as the retailer’s chairman and chief executive.
