BLOOMINGDALE’S: celebrates Father’s Day with a poker tournament led by poker consultants to the stars Johnny Marinacci and Mike Scelza. The June 16 event is sponsored by Excalibur Electronics, which markets hand-held games including the World Series of Poker line. Shoppers at the New York City Bloomingdale’s on 59th and Lexington Ave. can join in at three nine-player tables, where Marinacci and Scelza—who have consulted on The Sopranos and Rounders—give tips to players. One winner gets a 2005 Collector’s Edition Chip Set from Excalibur’s World Series of Poker line; all players get a free deck of Official World Series of Poker playing cards; Excalibur will have its handheld games, chip sets and poker-related electronics on display during the event.

COPA TECATE 2005: a major Hispanic amateur soccer tournament, has launched a Web site, Copatecate.com, where fans and players can get game schedules, playoff standings, game-play photo gallery and other tournament news. The event has more than 43,000 participants playing in 22 U.S. cities.
