CAPTAIN MORGAN: is ready to party on May 15, his 375-ish birthday. The rum brand is partnering with Maxim Magazine to host birthday bashes in Philadelphia, PA, Las Vegas, NV, Chicago, Tampa Bay, FL, and Minneapolis. Drinks made with Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum will be available for attendees. A cake-cutting ceremony was held in Philadelphia, where Captain Morgan himself will be on hand. The cake features a visage of the Captain created by Buddy Valastro and his team at Carlo’s Bakery (setting of the hit TV show “Cake Boss”) in Hoboken, NJ. Break Media, an online entertainment community for men, created a Web video celebrating “Captain Morgan Day,” starring The Captain and his Morganettes. The video will launch on a custom Captain Morgan channel www.Break.com this week.
