New York & Co. Names Visconti to CMO Post

Women’s apparel chain New York & Co. has named Celia Rao Visconti as it new chief marketing officer. The post began on Monday.

Visconti will be in charge of creating and implementing an integrated brand marketing strategy for the New York & Co, and JasmineSola businesses, the company said.

She replaces Robert Luzzi who has filled in that role since 2003. Luzzi is taking over as chief marketing officer for Ann Taylor stores next month (Promo Xtra, Aug. 27).

Visconti is no stranger to retail marketing. She joins New York & Co. NYAndCompany.com from Andrew Marc, Inc. where she worked as senior vice president, marketing and communications.

Prior to that, she worked as senior vice president, marketing at Tommy Hilfiger. There, Visconti was in charge of building the brand, including developing marketing strategies and media programs, overseeing the creative work and the creation and implementation of strategic alliances.

New York & Co. operates 580 retail stores in 44 states.
