Neiman Marcus Inc. posted net earnings of $27.3 million for the first quarter, a 50% drop from $55 million the prior year, which management attributed these results primarily to losses surrounding discontinued operations.
The cataloger and retailer reported total revenue of $1.04 billion for the quarter ended Oct. 28, a gain over $946.2 million last year.
The Dallas company posted direct marketing revenue of $159.3 million for the quarter, compared to $138.9 million last year.
