MSC Industrial Direct Co. Inc. posted net income of $34.1 million for the fourth quarter, a 21% increase over $28.2 million in the prior year.
The direct marketer reported net sales of $385.9 million for the quarter ended Aug. 26, up 39.4% from $276.8 million last year.
The Melville, NY company noted that $67.9 million of its quarterly sales came from J&L Industrial Supply, which it acquired on June 1.
