Michael Phelps: I’m Going to Disney World
Gold medal winners Michael Phelps and two teammates begin a month-long tour today sponsored by Disney.
Phelps will be joined by Lenny Krayzelburg and Ian Crocker at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida where the tour begins. The three will meet and swim with young American swimming stars in 12 cities across the country during the Disney’s Swim with the Stars tour.
To kick off the tour, the three will serve as grand marshals today in a celebratory parade held in their honor at Disney’s Magic Kingdom and they lead a swimming clinic at the park’s Typhoon Lagoon water park.
Phelps and the others with also do a meet and greet motivational 30-minute appearance for local schoolchildren in each tour city.
The tour ends at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA, on Oct. 5.
