Michael Della Penna has been appointed as the new co-chair of Council for Responsible E-mail (CRE) at the Association for Interactive Marketing.
Della Penna, chief marketing officer of New York-based Bigfoot Interactive, will join former AIM chief Ben Isaacson as co-chair effective immediately.
“Michael’s experience within the interactive industry and his proven dedication to AIM and the CRE over the past several years is paramount to his selection as co-chair,” said Kevin Noonan, executive director of AIM, in a statement.
Della Penna has been a member of AIM’s advisory board and the CRE Append Committee for the past two years, according to the statement. He played a major role in the development of AIM’s “Best Practices for E-mail Append,” released last year.
“I look forward to contributing to the CRE’s ongoing success by continuing its focus on the development of responsible and ethical e-mail guidelines and industry best practices,” Della Penna said in a statement.
Della Penna takes the place of Jay Schwedelson whose term expired Feb. 1. Schwedelson is now chair of the new CRE List Management and Brokerage Committee.
