Meijer stores are looking to bring in back-to-school shoppers with a sweepstakes that dangles one week on tour with singer and former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.
The Meijer Back-to-School with Kelly Contest features the grand-prize tour with Clarkson and a $250 shopping spree. As part of the promotion, Meijer will give away more than 500 Clarkson concert tickets and is also offering tickets through a contest at Meijer.com. The contest began July 24 and ends Sept. 3.
Participants can also enter at any of Meijer’s 171 stores throughout the Midwest.
Clarkson will appear in ads, radio commercials, in-store signage and on the Meijer Web site. She won American Idol in 2002 and is currently performing her Behind These Hazel Eyes national tour. Her first album was released in 2003.
