Marketing Dept. Launches Catalog of Travel Sites

The Marketing Dept is launching 100 Miles in Either Direction, a print catalog of travel- and tourism-related Web sites.

The catalog will be mailed in early spring 2004 to over 200,000 upper-income households that have booked or purchased travel-related items online within the past year.

The Coeur d’ Alene, ID-based company is currently accepting placements for the book, which will feature information on what is “in 100 miles” of destinations listed.

“If someone says they’re 100 miles from nowhere, that’s perfect for travelers who want to get away from it all,” said David Ziegler, catalog publisher and owner/president of The Marketing Dept. Inc. “The 100 mile statement is an effective point of reference. Maybe it’s a day trip from where the person lives, or is planning to visit.”

The catalog will also feature a ‘By State’ and ‘By Manufacturer’ index card of advertisers for cross-reference.
