Jack Morton Hires Renee Mahoney as VP Creative

Experience agency Jack Morton Worldwide has hired Renee Mahoney as vice president, director of strategy and creative for the Chicago area.

She will oversee Chicago’s planning and creative team to drive creative strategy for Jack Morton clients, which include Abbott, CME Group, Hewitt, Information Resources, Lawson, Motorola and Procter & Gamble.

“Renee’s passion for uncovering insights and translating them into ideas that uniquely connect with communities has driven her 20-year marketing career,” the agency said.

Prior to joining Jack Morton, Renee led creative at OgilvyAction, where she developed integrated marketing campaigns, promotional programs and brand experiences for clients such as Unilever, Kraft Foods, Oscar Mayer, Quaker, Kellogg’s and Motorola. Most recently, Renee completed a consulting assignment at The Ryan Partnership.

Jack Morton has also added three staff in its Boston office to bolster its creative and digital offerings.

Ian McGonnigal has been named senior vice president, client strategy and brand performance. He joins Jack Morton from George P. John where most recently he worked as executive director, program strategy worldwide. In his almost 10 years at GPJ, he worked with such clients as Clorox, Brunswick, Motorola, Cisco, RIM, Country Financial and IBM.

Phil Collyer, vice president, director of creative services, will lead the agency’s growing creative team in Boston. Previously he was a senior creative leader at Cramer, where he was responsible for the strategy, creative direction and program execution of campaigns for clients Business Objects, Gillette, Philips, and Serono.

Thomas Trumble joins Jack Morton as account director and Life Science Practice Leader. His experience spans multimedia production at boutique Boston shops such as Cosmic Blender. He was formerly director of digital strategy at Broadstreet and account director at Evoke Interaction. Clients include leading companies in biotech and life sciences, including Genzyme, CV Therapeutics, Fresenius, Alnylam and Santhera.

Jack Morton ranked No. 17 on the 2010 Promo 100 with 2008 estimated U.S. net revenue of $81 million.
