Informatica to Acquire Identity Systems

Informatica Corp. will acquire Identity Systems, a developer of database marketing software, from Nokia for $85 million, the firm announced last week. The transaction is expected to close by the end of May.

The purchase will provide Informatica with improved searching and matching technology, the company said.

In a separate development, Informatica reported that its first-quarter revenue totaled $103.7 million, a 19% over the same period last year.

Net income rose by 20% to $11.2 million, the firm said.

License revenue hit $44.2 million, an 18% rise.

Informatica provides enterprise data integration software and services.

Since January, the firm has added clients like Andersons, Banco Bradesco, Comentos Argos, Grant Thornton, Metropolitan Police London and RightNow Technologies.
