High-Tech Brands Tour College Campuses

The Consumer Electronics Association brings its TechKnow Overload Tour to college campuses this month.

The tour hits 15 campuses in April and May, with six pavilions that showcase products from tour sponsors including Gibson Guitar, Toshiba, Microsoft Corp., Nintendo DS and Sirius Satellite Radio.

A sweeps will award $10,000 worth of gear featured in the “Ultimate Dorm Room” pavilion, including a Toshiba laptop, Nintendo DS hand-held gaming devices and an Audiovox flat-panel TV.

Event marketing agency Mr. Youth, New York City, handles the tour.

This is the fourth year that the Arlington, VA-based association hosts the tour. A 26-campus tour is slated for September through November.
