Global Internet Ad Spend Grew 7.2% in the First Half of 2012

Internet ad spend risesAccording to Nielsen’s Global AdView Pulse report, Internet ad spend grew 7.2 percent in the first half of 2012 compared with the first half of 2011. Meanwhile, radio ad spend grew 6.6 percent, followed by cinema with 5.9 percent growth, outdoor with 4.7 percent growth, television with 3.1 percent growth and newspapers with 1.6 percent growth. Magazines saw ad spend shrink 1.3 percent year-over-year. Internet advertising saw huge gains in the Middle East and Africa (up 30.3 percent) and Latin America (up 20.6 percent), according to Nielsen. (Nielsen)
