Watching game shows just may be the ticket to a college education. The Game Show Network, in its biggest promotion to date, has teamed with the Bank of America for a Get Schooled tour, which will offer a total of $140,000 for college tuition to 14 winners.
The tour will visit 13 cities March 15 through May 17 and allow consumers (age 16 and over) the chance to play rounds of the school-themed trivia, complete with hosts from various Game Show Network series, for the $10,000 grand prize in each city. Consumers from areas not on the touring schedule can win one additional $10,000 prize by entering at www.gameshownetwork.com/getschooled.
Local radio promotions dangling Sony product and other prizes, cable advertising, activity at www.Collegeclub.com (a division of Student Advantage, Inc.), and P-O-P displays at Spencer Gifts and CompUSA stores support. Plus, an Education Zone exhibit will be staffed with representatives from the Bank of America able to answer questions on banking options and student financial aid. Integrated Knowledge Marketing, Manhattan Beach, CA, handles for the Bank of America.
