Sara Lee Corp. has hired CJ Fraleigh in the new position of chief customer and marketing officer, effective next month.
Fraleigh joins Sara Lee from General Motors, where he had worked as general manager for the $29 billion GMC-Buick-Pontiac division since February. He was originally hired by GM in 2001 as its executive director, advertising and corporate marketing.
In his new role, Fraleigh will lead the charge to strengthen Sara Lee’s consumer focus on creating and building strong brands. In addition, he will concentrate on driving customer excellence across Sara Lee, the company said.
Before joining GM, Fraleigh was with PepsiCo’s marketing department for 12 years.
