Four Firms to Set Europe M-Commerce Standards

Four European mobile-telecommunications companies have set up the Mobile Payment Services Association, a body that seeks to develop an operating standard for making payments through mobile phones.

According to news reports, Anglo-French operator Orange SA, U.K. carrier Vodafone Group PLC , Germany’s T-Mobile International AG and Spanish operator Telefonica Moviles SA said the name and branding of the organization will be made at a later date.
