Momentum Worldwide has hired Joe DiMuro as executive vice president of music and entertainment.
DiMuro is charged with expanding the agency’s offerings in digital, music and entertainment. He will work closely with such clients as American Express, Verizon, Coca-Cola and others to develop strategies in various channels including branded entertainment, content integration and intellectual property development.
Most recently, DiMuro worked for Sony BMG Entertainment as executive vice president and general manager, managing all television, film, commercial advertising, licensing, digital/mobile content platform development, new product and joint-venture initiatives, in addition to corporate/strategic business development.
“Due in part to increasing client demand to connect to consumers in new ways, coupled with our desire to strengthen and expand our offering year over year, we have diligently broadened our reach to the larger digital and entertainment landscape,” said Momentum CEO Chris Weil in a release.
DiMuro has also worked at News Corp’s 20th Century Fox Film working in a variety of senior theatrical marketing, sales, distribution and licensing areas for the film, home entertainment, and interactive business units. He has worked with such clients as Nike, Apple, Visa, Intel, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, American Express, P & G, General Motors, Levi’s, Starwood Resorts, Frito-Lay and Verizon, Momentum said.
He was also the president of the jointly-operated Nickelodeon Records with Nickelodeon, as well as the president and founder of Burgundy Records. He is also credited with being instrumental in global rebranding of the Elvis Presley recording masters resulting in worldwide sales revenue in excess of $250 MM.
