In keeping with the trend in a growing creamy coffee segment, Folgers has introduced Cappuccino.
The coffee began appearing this month in retail outlets nationwide in a 16-ounce size, as well as a club size (48 ounces) available at Sam’s Club. The line up of flavors includes French Vanilla, Mocha Chocolate and two new flavors, English Toffee and Cinnamon Vanilla Nut. A coupon will drop May 4 nationally in Sunday newspapers. The offer is 75 cents off on both the Cappuccino and Latte brands.
There will be some in-store promotions with an introductory off invoice allowance, said spokesperson Susan Weitzel.
Folgers now has three creamy coffee products available: Folgers Jakada, Café Latte and Folgers Cappuccino.
The creamy coffee segment has grown 10% over the past two years, while the overall coffee category grew at 2% according to parent Procter & Gamble who cited data from Information Resources Inc.
