Farrell Named President of G2 Promotions

Brand marketing veteran Jay Farrell has been named to the post of president at G2 Promotional Marketing, a Chicago-based division of global activation agency G2 Worldwide.

Farrell will take over the G2 title previously held by Nick Hoadley. Hoadley will return to the U.K. to become managing director of the agency’s London operation, Joshua G2. Farrell will report to John Paulson, CEO of G2’s U.S. division.

Farrell comes to G2 from OgilvyAction, where he worked most recently as vice chairman for North America and previously held the post of CEO, responsible for six offices around the U.S. He has also held senior management posts at such agencies as Communicator Worldwide (formerly Davidson Marketing) and Arc Worldwide, as well as jobs with Procter & Gamble and Alberto-Culver.

G2 Worldwide offers services in digital communications, direct marketing, shopper marketing and promotions from 86 offices in 42 countries. Clients include Adobe, The Coca-Cola Co., Campbell Soup, Heineken, Kraft Foods, Mars and Nokia.
