DoubleClick Inc., New York, has purchased CSC Advanced Database Solutions, a data management company. Specific terms of the all-cash transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition will allow DoubleClick to launch a data management solutions division. DoubleClick anticipates running the division as a stand-alone business. DoubleClick will eventually offer an integrated marketing solution consisting of Data Management Solutions, as well as its Abacus, Ensemble, DARTmail, DART, UnityMail, SiteAdvance and ChannelView products and services.
CDC, which specializes in the retail, catalog, financial services, nonprofit and publishing industries, employs more than 100 individuals. The company is based in Schaumburg, IL.
