DMA Launches Two New Counsels at DMD Days

The Direct Marketing Association is starting two new counsels at the Direct Marketing Days in New York conference next month.

A Customer Relationship Counsel and a Pharmaceutical Marketing Counsel will hold their first meetings at the show. “They are both open meetings to decide upon a mission and an agenda,” said Christina Duffney, spokesperson for the DMA. Any direct marketer is welcome to attend, she said.

A mini-conference for junior DMers will also be held for the first time at DM Days. This DM University Basics Seminar series will be held throughout the three days of the conference. It will be taught by DMA Hall of Famer, Bob Hemmings. Beginner direct marketers who sign up for the Basics Seminar may also visit the exhibit hall, Duffney said.

Meeting times for these events have yet to be set.

The DMA has added New York train stations to the conference shuttle bus route. The buses will run to and from Grand Central/Penn Station and the Sheraton.

DMDNY is scheduled for June 2 to 4 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York.
