The Direct Marketing Association has put out a flow chart that summarizes the Federal Trade Commissions new rules about telemarketing.
It is designed to help marketers understand the rules and take appropriate action. The chart addresses issues such as: how to meet the new predictive dialer regulations; how to handle novel payment methods; what must be done in the case of pre-acquired account information; how long to keep records of consumers’ transactions; and how to handle upsells.
