Cable TV network Discovery Kids celebrated Halloween with a 10-day “Freak Week” Web site starring its TV character Tutenstein.
Tutenstein—an Egyptian boy king mummy brought back to life in the 21st century-stars in Discovery Kids’ programming block that airs Saturday mornings on NBC. The site, which stays up through Nov. 1, has a haunted house treasure hunt, Halloween facts (updated daily), downloadable masks and pumpkin stencils, “freaky shrieks” and a mail-in offer for a free Tutenstein comic book with Spider-Man and the X-Men. EastWest Creative, New York, handles for New York-based Discovery Communications.
