Boston-based DM agency Digitas reported fee revenue for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 2004 of $71.0 million, compared with $53.4 million for the fourth quarter of 2003.
Total revenue was $105.4 million for the quarter, compared to $82.2 million for the same period the previous year. The company reported net income of $7.7 million, as compared to net income of $8.1 million in the prior-year period.
For the year ended Dec. 31, 2004, Digitas posted fee revenue of $251.6 million, compared with $209.5 million for the prior year. Total revenue was $382.0 million for 2004, versus $311.8 million for the prior year. The company reported net income of $30.9 million for the year 2004, as compared to net income of $16.9 million in 2003.
Separately, Digitas named Brian Roberts, currently chief accounting officer, as chief financial officer. He replaces Jeff Cote, who has resigned, effective April 1, to become COO at Ropes & Gray, a national law firm headquartered in Boston.
