Coors Light is leveraging its sponsorship of the NFL with an on-can promo that will give winners a one-year Sirius Satellite Radio or DirecTV subscription, or send them to key NFL games over the next two seasons.
A 9-digit code on NFL-themed cans is entered online at coorslight.com or texted to WINCL for the chance to win the prizes. The grand prize is an “All-Access Pass,” which includes a trip for two to the 2006 NFL Draft, 2006 NFL Kickoff Game, a 2006 regular season game, Super Bowl XLI and the 2007 Pro Bowl.
Consumers can also win trips to this year’s NFL Kickoff Game, held on Sept. 8 in Foxboro, MA, the Thanksgiving Day game in Detroit, and a regular season game of choice. Lesser prizes include gift certificates to the NFL Shop and NFL DVDs and t-shirts.
Sirius Satellite Radio and DirectTV, also NFL partners, have offered up prizes that include the necessary receiver hardware for each service and a one-year subscription. The sweepstakes launched Aug. 1 and runs through Feb. 12.
In addition to the NFL-theme cans – one honoring the NFL Kickoff Weekend and one celebrating ABC’s Monday Night Football – Coors Light will also promote an NFL 18-pack plastic bottle cooler box and a 5-liter NFL Kickoff Keg. All packaging will include NFL logos, and the plastic bottles will have a texture that simulates an NFL football.
The cooler box will be available at retail Oct. 1, and the keg will be available Sept. 1. The cans will hit shelves August 15.
