Catalina Marketing Corp. reported income of $10.9 million, for its first quarter, up from $4.3 million last year.
The database marketing company reported revenue of $105.6 million or the quarter ended June 30, up 3.4% from $102.2 million last year.
“The results achieved in the first quarter were encouraging, with all business segments outperforming the prior year,” said Dick Buell, CEO Of the St. Petersburg, FL company.
The firm previously reported that it will sell its direct marketing services, Japan billboard and Catalina marketing research solutions divisions, which each saw a sharp decline in first-quarter revenue.
According to news reports, Catalina adjusted its 2003 and 2004 earnings to exclude results from those units, posting income of $1.06 per share in 2004 and 98 cents in 2003, compared with previously reported earnings of $1 in 2004 and $1.04 in 2003.
