The Chicago Association of Direct Marketing (CADM) has created a special interest group for direct response broadcasting.
Chicago Broadcast Direct will be launched at a reception on Sept. 25 at the Museum of Broadcast communications.
The co-founders include Phil Rozansky, president of Tower Media; Norm Goldring of CPO Direct Inc., and Beth Kearney of CPO Direct Inc.
Rozansky received immediate approval when he suggested the idea to the CADM board of directors.
“Chicago’s own direct response television pioneer, Al Eicoff, a former CADM Direct Marketer of the Year, had recently died,” said Holly Harle, president of CADM and account executive with Mid-America Mailers, in a statement. “Memories of Al reminded us of how central direct response television is to the identity of Chicago as a direct marketing capital.”
The group’s steering committee includes Nicole Arethas, Warner Bros. Syndication; Chris Carroll, American Marketing Systems; Mike Collins, Target & Response; Mercedes Mann, OMD Direct; Marybeth Peters, Carat; and Rick Sangerman, A. Eicoff & Co.
The Sept. 25 reception starts at 5:30 p.m.
